Holding the Space for Transformation
A Translucent community, that lives and grows learning around the sacred use of medicine plants, provides a perfect container to hold the space for the process of integrating our awakenings and realizations, and allows us to make a gradual transition in order to gradually embody our transformation.
Experiencing a ceremony of Ayahuasca is powerful and transforming on itself, however the challenge comes when integrating this experience in daily life. Pisaq has turned out to be a place where travelers choose to stay and learn from the medicine and integrate the experience in a quiet, simple environment.
While being here, we do a ceremony every week on a regula basis. Everyone interested may join but we ask you to contact us in advance or come and visit first (see Ayahuasca ceremony for more details.) Also when we are not in a retreat the temple where the ceremonies are held, can be used to do meditation or yoga practices.
Our vision
Our project is centered on the use of Ayahuasca. The ritual context combines indigenous shamanism with eastern philosophy, both practices that can only be attained through direct experience.
If eastern philosophies claim that the self is an illusion, what does it matter how that self is dissolved, whether it is through pure contemplation of the self, or through the action of an external substance seems irrelevant: the ultimate goal is far more important. Ayahuasca alters the way the mind works in ways that can be witnessed.
Ayahuasca does not show us things that are not there, it reflects the illusions of the mind, the nature of which is already iiusory and ephemeral. Unlike an hallucination, by seeing our illusions magnified and distorted we are finaly able to go beyond them and reflect a more authentic reality.

Ayahuasca is a powerful teacher plant that forces unresolved personal issues to the front. The process is called purging, and it is mainly the result of a weakening of the mental defenses and opening of the heart.
Ayahuasca can quickly purge someone of problems that might require years of meditation or psychoterapy, thus preparing the way for deeper spiritual work.
As we begin to uncover our own true nature we begin to take greater responsibility not only for our actions but also for our thoughts.
Ayahuasca has the capacity to uncover diverse aspects of our nature. It shows us how we really are and gives us an opportunity to really deeply cleanse the past and make a better future, rooted in peace and love.
